8.4 rebounds per game (3rd in 1A)

2.2 assists per game

2.6 steals per game (4th in 1A)

Season high

41 points vs. Escalante on Feb. 7.

Opposing coach scouting report

“When preparing for Tyce the focus was not to stop him because we knew we could not. It was to contain him. We tried to have him catch in tough scoring situations and that did not always work because he plays the game with a lot of intelligence. Tyce constantly positioned and repositioned himself to be successful. As soon as we would have success, he would hit a big shot in transition. Tyce has excellent footwork, and took advantage of any mistake by a defender. Any coach would be lucky to have a player who is as competitive and works as hard as Tyce.”

Opposing coach scouting report

“What I appreciated most about Austin was his defensive intensity. Austin's athletic ability allowed him to defend the opposing team's best player. His quickness allowed him to defend out on the perimeter, and his strength made him an excellent post defender. On offense, Austin had an incredible first step. He often blew past his defender, giving himself an easy look or an easy look for a teammate. Austin was the team leader for Monticello. His leadership skills on the court were a big part of their championship run.”
