Throughout the high school football season, the Deseret News gathers and tracks offensive and defensive statistics for nearly every team in the state. Each week, roughly 90 percent of the schools submit their stats for publication, and the year-to-date leaders in a variety of categories can be found HERE.

Beginning this week, the Deseret News will highlight some of the performances of the previous week that stood out after sifting through thousands of tackles and yards from roughly 50 games each week.

With that said, here are 15 of the top performances from Week 3 of the high school football season:

TJ Wind, Pleasant Grove

Wind's stats

Powered Pleasant Grove to a 42-0 win over Timpanogos by rushing for 190 yards and three touchdowns on just 19 carries.

Ula Tolutau, East

Tolutau's stats

Wisconsin commit had a monster game as he bulled his way for 321 yards and three TDs on only 16 carries in a 59-36 win over Jordan.

Max Barnett, Judge

Barnett's stats

Did a bit of everything in a 43-7 win over Park City. He rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown offensively, while defensively he recorded seven tackles, one sack and one interception.

Braxton Godderidge, Sky View

Godderidge's stats

Had a strong performance in a 49-6 lopsided win at Minico, Idaho, as he passed for 257 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for 81 yards and a score.

Britain Covey, Timpview

Covey's stats

Timpview’s QB was a one-man wrecking crew offensively in a 41-28 win over Alta. He ran the ball 19 times for 111 yards and two TDs, while he completed 14 of 19 passes for 145 yards and two TDs.

Mack Richards, Alta

Richards' stats

In a 41-28 loss to Timpview, Richards was a huge bright spot as he caught seven passes for 185 yards and four TDs.

Colton Chronister, Davis

Chronister's stats

Spearheaded Davis' 28-0 win over Taylorsville by completing 15 of 24 passes for 233 yards and three TDs in addition to rushing for 67 yards and a score.

Ben Bergeson, Highland

Bergeson's stats

Came up huge for Highland in last week’s 7-3 win over Herriman as he intercepted two passes and recorded three tackles.

Teague Vigil, Syracuse

Vigil's stats

Was a stud defensively in last week’s 21-10 win over Mountain Crest as he recorded a career-high 18 tackles.

Jacob Hatch, Gunnison

Hatch's stats

This senior hauled in 13 catches for 261 yards and two touchdowns in a 45-29 loss to North Summit.

Adam Pace, Tooele

Pace's stats

Carried the ball 20 times for 217 yards and three touchdowns to lead Tooele to a 34-9 win over Canyon View, its first win of the season.

Caden Calton, Lehi

Calton's stats

Turned in one of the 10 best rushing performances in state history as he carried the ball 38 times for a whopping 347 yards and four touchdowns.

Kody Wilstead, Pine View

Wilstead's stats

His team came out on the losing end of a 36-33 game at Lehi, but this junior QB had a strong game nonetheless as he complete 31 of 43 passes for 406 yards and five TDs.

TJ Fehoko, Cottonwood

Fehoko's stats

Was unstoppable defensively as he recorded eight tackles, four sacks and two blocked kicks in a 24-6 win over Kearns.

Ky Fisher, Grantsville

Fisher's stats

Helped will the Cowboys to a 34-33 overtime win over Manti on both sides of the ball. Defensively he tallied 16 tackles and a sack, while offensively he rushed for 77 yards and a score while also grabbing a touchdown pass.
