Doris Vivian Ottley Hales07/03/1921 - 02/14/2012Our beautiful mother left this existence to be with her beloved husband and daughter on Valentines Day. Vivian was the daughter of Henry George and Sarah Doris Granter Ottley. She was born in Sutherland, Utah and was raised in Murray, Utah. She married Alden Peter Hales on September 21, 1940; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mom was an active member of the LDS Church, where she served in many callings as well as being an ordinance worker in the Jordan River Temple with Dad. She also served in the Neighbors of the Woodcraft and was Treasurer of her DUP Camp. But her most important achievement in life was her beautiful family her seven children, 24 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren, two of which she is holding in her arms until they are ready to come to this worldly home. She enjoyed the time that she and Dad were able to travel. She loved a good family get together and loved to laugh. Mom is survived by her children Kenneth (Linda) Hales, Carol Ann (Rodney) Heath, Keith (Cindy) Hales, Utona (Cody) Moss, Bonnie (Kim) Brown, Scott (Brenda) Hales. She was preceded in death by her husband Alden and daughter Doris Diane, sister Enid Warner, brothers Granter, George and Wilbur Ottley. She was a very sweet and loving mother who will be missed and always in our hearts. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 11:00 at the Murray 12th Ward, 363 E. Vine Street.
