Katie Broadbent 1917 ~ 2011 Katherine Miller Broadbent, Provo, Utah, passed away on June 6, 2011. She was born to Julius and Maria Sterzer Miller on May 28, 1917 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Smith Broadbent. Katie was an active member of the LDS Church and served a mission with her husband in the Philippines. She taught English in China, and lived many places in the world as her husband fulfilled work-related assignments. Katie loved to work with her hands including knitting, crocheting, sewing, tatting, and needlepoint. She canned the produce from the family's large garden. She also enjoyed collecting stamps, fans, thimbles, and memorabilia from her travels. She will be missed by many people all over the world. Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 1038 N. 1200 E., Provo. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 E. Center Street, Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. and at the church Saturday from 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in East Lawn Memorial Hills, Provo.
