The 2015-2016 season has featured some solid teams in 3A that can compete with teams of any classification as shown by the large number of preseason wins by 3A teams against 4A and 5A contenders. In fact, Logan and Morgan were the only two teams in the state to defeat Sky View, arguably the best team in 5A. With that kind of talent among the 3A playoff teams, the 2016 playoffs should be exciting.

With Carbon and Snow Canyon atop 3A after the regular season, they are the clear favorites to show down in the championship game and contend for the title. However, teams such as Logan, Morgan, and Cedar are dangerous and could potentially shake things up.
