The millennials are coming, and they are changing the economic landscape, according to The National Journal's Nancy Cook.

“(Millennials) look to support companies and institutions that they believe promote good over profits,” Cook wrote May 29, citing a study by the Brookings Institution that explores economic trends among millennials.

“So what can companies do to deal with this soon-to-be 75 percent of the workforce?” Cook asked. “Businesses' usual tricks of keeping employees happy and productive simply will not fly by the year 2025.”
