Katz called Carlino's decision to transfer a, "huge loss for BYU."
He also said that Carlino should garner immediate interest.
"Carlino can transfer and play right away and more than likely will be the hottest commodity on the open market in transfers this spring," Katz said. "He's a player than can score in bunches, and he can fill a point guard role for a number of teams."
Carlino finished the season averaging 13.7 points and 4.3 assists per game.
