While their former teammates are hitting the field for the beginning of spring practice this week, several former University of Utah football players auditioned for pro scouts Wednesday at the school's pro day.
As reported by the Deseret News' Dirk Facer, 17 former Utes were expected to participate in the event. They include Quade Chappuis, Anthony Denham, Sean Fitzgerald, Phil Hinson, Vyncent Jones, Soni Kinikini, Keith McGill, Jake Murphy, Thretton Palamo, Tenny Palepoi, Trevor Reilly, Jeremiah Tofaeono, Tanqueray Towns, LT Tuipulotu, Michael Walker, Karl Williams and Kelvin York.
According to director of player personnel Fred Whittingham, 24 of the 32 NFL teams were represented.
Reilly is a outside linebacker prospect who is ranked No. 7 at his position, according to CBS Sports.
Reilly ran an official time of 4.66 seconds in the 40-yard dash:
In the vertical jump, Reilly recorded a 30.5-inch leap. He also skipped the bench press after being the No. 3 linebacker at the NFL Scouting Combine.
McGill is a cornerback prospect who is ranked No. 12 at his position, according to CBS Sports.
His official time in the 40 was 4.52 seconds.
Palepoi is a defensive tackle prospect who is ranked No. 32 at his position, according to CBS Sports.
Not everything at the pro day was all about the results, though. Palepoi took some time to hang out with his family during the event:
Murphy is a tight end prospect who is ranked No. 17 at his position, according to CBS Sports. He declared for the NFL draft after his junior season.
Denham is a tight end prospect. He completed a vertical jump of 32.5 inches.
Quade Chappuis is a defensive back prospect.
LT Tuipulotu is a defensive tackle prospect.
Sean Fitzgerald is a wide receiver prospect.
