A Pew Research Center/USA Today study released Jan. 30, 2014 shows that a majority of Americans think the efforts in both Afghanistan and Iraq have mostly failed. The study, conducted Jan. 15-19 among 1,504 adults found that 52 percent believe the U.S. has not achieved its goals in both countries.

The survey also noted that “there are no significant partisan differences in opinions about whether the U.S. has achieved its goals in Iraq and Afghanistan. Fewer than half of Republicans, Democrats and independents say the U.S. has mostly succeeded in achieving its goals in either country.”
