Nintendo is looking to tap into a new market, and it’s for health reasons, The Washington Post said.

As the internationally recognized entertainment system company looks to add more health-related games, it's going to try and get the elderly to start playing its games, The Post said.

The goal is to find a way to integrate technology with helping the elderly remain helpful, the story said.

“From a consumer technology angle, that means there's a lot of money to be made by getting seniors to use gadgets that do things like measure their weight, test their strength and balance, and allow family members and physicians to keep an eye on trends in their health,” The Post reported.
