This comes after the bowl announced Nov. 18 that Hoffman, a senior wide receiver for the Cougars, would participate in the annual contest that allows athletes to showcase their talents for NFL personnel.
Van Noy has 63 tackles and a team-leading 16 tackles for loss in 2013, as BYU prepares to play Washington in the Fight Hunger Bowl on Dec. 27. Van Noy also has 14 quarterback hurries, four sacks, two interceptions and a fumble recovery and was recently named a second-team Walter Camp All-American.
Hoffman has 45 receptions for 727 yards and five touchdowns in 2013, and this year he has become the school's all-time leader in receptions (248), receiving yards (3,445) and receiving touchdowns (33).
Former Cougar Ezekiel "Ziggy" Ansah was among the standouts in last year's Senior Bowl, earning MVP honors while collecting six solo tackles, 1.5 sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss. He also forced a fumble. That performance helped Ansah get selected fifth overall by the Detroit Lions in the 2013 NFL Draft.
"It was a little bit crazy this week, with all the GMs and coaches all over the hotel getting hold of you," Ansah told Yahoo! Sports about the Senior Bowl experience. "But when it was time to practice, it was time to practice."
Ansah leads all rookies with seven sacks this season for Detroit, which is in the thick of the race for the NFC North title. He also has 27 tackles and two forced fumbles heading into the Lions' game against Baltimore on Monday night.
