SALT LAKE CITY — A Unified police officer has been honored for his efforts to combat sex trafficking of minors.

The Backyard Broadcast Program recognized Unified Police Department’s Deputy Chief Chris Bertram for outstanding service to the community in education to the public on subject of sex trafficking of minors. Chief Bertram has made many presentations on this subject to different community groups with Madi Palmer, Cottonwood High School station chief. They have presented to the National Charity League, The Road Home Shelter, and other organizations.

Bertram received recognition Thursday at the Unified Police board meeting.

Backyard Broadcast is a youth resistance movement dedicated to fighting sex trafficking.
