SALT LAKE CITY — Police are asking for help as they search for a 65-year-old woman who hasn't been seen since Friday morning.

Linda Jensen, 65, was last seen about 10 a.m. Friday before she apparently wandered away from a care facility at 1001 N. Featherstone Drive. Jensen has a diminished mental capacity, and authorities are especially worried in light of extreme heat.

Jensen is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 185 pounds and has red hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a pink shirt, red jacket and white shorts.

Brian Baker, Jensen's son, said he worries that new medication is impacting his mother's behavior. Jensen loves to talk to people and laugh, and Baker believes she's somewhere where there are a lot of people.

"What we believe is she's hanging out somewhere like a grocery store or any kind of place where there's people," Baker said. "To just talk to her, you wouldn't automatically think, 'Oh, she needs help.'"

Anyone with information about Jensen's whereabouts is asked to call Salt Lake police at 801-799-3000.
