MORGAN 61, HURRICANE 54: Jake Miles scored 22 points while Boston Saunders chipped in with 15 as Morgan pulled away from Hurricane with a 19-8 run in the fourth quarter in a battle of quality 3A teams at the Sevier Valley Center.
COTTONWOOD 49, MURRAY 45: The Cottonwood Colts pulled out a close victory over the Spartans. Parker Swope led the way for the Colts with 11 points. Nathan Aland of Murray had 14 points in the losing effort.
JORDAN 64, TWIN FALLS, IDAHO 40: With 14 second-half points by Mark Krueger, Jordan came out on top over Twin Falls. Trent Neilson and Ryan Nemelka combined for 22 points.
MANTI 68, GRAND 47: Jamen Miller scored 18 points and Quinn Nielsen chipped in with 14 as the second-ranked Templars improved to 2-0 with a victory at the Sevier Valley Center. Zak Hazlett scored 20 points in the loss for Grand.
CEDAR 49, NORTH SANPETE 34: Kyler Nielson and Trent Snow combined for 23 points to lead Cedar past North Sanpete for a victory at the Sevier Valley Center.
DESERT HILLS 76, BEAR RIVER 44: The top-ranked Thunder stormed to a 50-22 halftime lead in a dominating performance against Bear River at the Sevier Valley Center. Tyler Ott led the way with 20 points with Ty Rutledge chipping in with 15 points and three 3-pointers.
DIXIE 44, PARK CITY 39: Devin Bennett and Deshon Brown combined for 28 points as the Dixie outscored Park City 25-17 in the second half to eke out a victory at the Sevier Valley Center.
PAROWAN 43, NORTH SEVIER 40: Justin Hulet was blazing from beyond the 3-point arc, sinking five 3-pointers. Hulet led all scorers with 17 and lifted Parowan to a narrow 43-40 victory.
SOUTH SEVIER 59, NORTH SUMMIT 43: Kaden King and Race Parsons each scored 17 points to lead the Rams past North Summit. Austin Clark also came up big in the win with 15 points.
RICHFIELD 59, ENTERPRISE 52: Zak Jensen had a game high 15, with three 3-pointers as the Rebels defeated Enterprise at the Sevier Valley Center.
PAYSON 56, PLEASANT GROVE 50: Clint Bateman posted 25 points for Payson in a thrilling overtime victory. Pleasant Grove could not follow-up its strong fourth quarter with a strong overtime and fell by six.
BRYCE VALLEY 62, KANAB 53: Eddie Dunham put on a clinic as Bryce Valley defeated Kanab on the road. Dunham recorded 32 points, getting it done on the inside and from behind the arc. Conor Corry led the Cowboys in the loss with 19 points.
WEST 61, CYPRUS 45: Devin Price scored 14 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead West to its first victory of the season. Lennon Coley led the Panthers in scoring with 15 points.
SYRACUSE 57, SKYLINE, IDAHO 56:
RIVERTON 58, HIGHLAND 50: D McCleary and Stephan Holm combined for 41 points in the Riverton victory over Highland. McCleary led all scoring with 21 and Holm added 20. Liam Thomas proved to be a potent scoring threat for Highland with 18 points in the loss.
WEBER 63, OGDEN 50: Weber took advantage of an enormous free throw disparity, knocking down 22 of 29 at the line to fly past Ogden. The Warriors, behind Justin Nielsen and Hayden Schenck, outscored the Tigers 21-9 in the third quarter.
WOODS CROSS 52, OLYMPUS 37: Woods Cross doubled Olympus' scoring in the second and third quarters, and the mid-game surge ultimately lifted the Wildcats to victory. Sean Barton led all scoring with 13 points in the win. Brady Cowley contributed 11 points and three rebounds.
TOOELE 65, UNION 64: With 10 seconds remaining in the game, Jack Memmott sunk two from the charity stripe and lifted Tooele to the narrow 65-64 victory. Memmott finished with three 3-pointers and 19 points overall. Teammate Tyler Lawrence led all scoring with 20 points, including four 3-pointers.
BRIGHTON 64, LEHI 56: Brandon Miller scored 26 points, and Brighton used a 21-4 run spanning the third and fourth quarters to pull away from Lehi. Travis Devashrayee chipped in with 14 points for the Bengals, including a clutch baseline 3-pointer late in the game.
CARBON 52, CENTRAL, COLO. 43: Carbon played strong team defense to down the Central Warriors. Derek Young and Tanner Gagnon led the Dinos with 15 and 14 points, respectively.
SKYLINE 49, BONNEVILLE 43: Skyline held on to beat Bonneville despite the Lakers draining 10 treys. Mike Staes had 12 points and Scott Anderson added 11 more for the Eagles.
TABIONA 56, TINTIC 40: Tabiona's hot shooting led to a victory over Tintic. Tabiona hit nine first half three pointers, six of them by Demont Nay who led all scorers with 26 points.
EAST 75, BOX ELDER 59: East took a commanding lead thanks to a strong second quarter. Parker Van Dyke's game-high 29 points helped pace East to its best team effort of the season and the double digit victory.
DELTA 63, STANSBURY 49: Kyle Church led three players in double figures with 23 points as the Rabbits defeated Stansbury.
PINE VIEW 63, MOAPA VALLEY, NEV. 36: Pine View traveled to Nevada and pummeled Moapa Valley. Kody Wilstead led the Panthers with 12 points while Jack Bangerter and Wesley Moeai each contributed 10.
PROVO 49, WESTLAKE 36:
LAYTON 63, VIEWMONT 56: Kade Petersen dropped an impressive 26 points in the Layton victory, including three from beyond the 3-point line. Teammate Colton Green added 11 in the win. A strong first half, in which the Lancers outscored the Vikings by 19, ultimately gave them the victory.
TIMPVIEW 50, MOUNTAIN CREST 49: Despite a 28-point night from Mountain Crest's Tyler Crosbie, Timpview hung on for the narrow victory over the Mustangs. Taylor Roy led Timpview with 11 points.
DUGWAY 54, WEST RIDGE ACADEMY 44: Josh Johnson led the way in Dugways win with 18 points. Nathaniel Broadhead added 16 points.
FREMONT 74, SKY VIEW 62: Brock Smith led Fremont to a decisive win over 4A's top-ranked Sky View with 28 points and 12 rebounds. Hayden Spencer also had a productive game with 19 points, including four 3-pointers.
WEST JORDAN 75, BINGHAM 40: West Jordan exploded with 31 points in the fourth quarter to earn a lopsided victory over the Miners. Jordan Loveridge led the way with 18 points. Jaden Jackson added 16 points and Seth Barrus contributed 15.
ROY 64, LAYTON CHRISTIAN 47: Roy nailed 21-of-29 freebies from the charity stripe and rolled to a blowout victory behind Jesse Wayment's 29 points at the Pepsi Classic at Ben Lomond High School
PINNACLE 67, ESCALANTE 55: Pinnacle had four players score in the double digits as they sailed to the victory over Escalante. Barry Hamilton and MJ Taberna each had 15 points, and Dalton Rudman and Chris Reynolds picked up 13 apiece in the win.
JUAN DIEGO 56, TAYLORSVILLE 33: The Warriors couldn't keep pace with Juan Diego as the Soaring Eagle dropped in seven 3-point shots. Gabe Colosimo had a game-high 14 points.
EMERY 60, RICH 53: Dallon Cologie scored 25 points to lead the Spartans past Rich.
KIRTLAND CENTRAL, N.M. 72, WHITEHORSE 34: Whithorse went up against 4A Kirtland Central and did well to hang with the Broncos through the first quarter but the Raiders couldn't keep up after that. Karl Holly led Whitehorse with 13 points,
MAESER PREP 57, CONCORDIA PREP 43: Griffin Garner hit three 3-pointers to earn 12 points in the Maeser Prep victory. Maeser capitilized on Concordia Prep foul trouble and ran away with the game. Concordia was forced to play the majority of the fourth quarter with just four players, and with three and a half minutes left to play, that number dropped to three. The scoring effort was well-distributed for Maeser with 12 players getting on the board.
GUNNISON 53, BEAVER 48: Gunnison's fantastic defense shut down the Beavers in the second quarter 17-1. Colby Caldwell and Chase Christenson combined for 27 points.
HERRIMAN 54, COPPER HILLS 47: Despite a second quarter lag, Herriman was able to stave off Copper Hills. Tanner McKissick led all scoring with 15 points and Brady Beard was close behind with 14.
MADISON, IDAHO 62, CLEARFIELD 48:
ALTA 58, TIMPANOGOS 43: The Hawks outscored Timpanogos 20-4 in the fourth quarter. Zack Zdunich came up big for Alta, scoring 18 points. Jarett Anderson also contributed to the victory with 13 points.
DUCHESNE 57, WEST WENDOVER, NEV. 53: Duchesne played hard till the very end and used a rally in the 4th quarter to beat West Wendover. Mike Dye had 13 points. Kanaan Nealley also added nine points in the victory.
HUNTER 70, LOGAN 64: Logan took a 20-0 lead in the first quarter before the Wolverines stormed back to stun the Grizzlies. Dimitri Saliba led Hunter with 24 points. Freshman Noah Togiai contributed 13 points, including three 3-pointers.
BEN LOMOND 39, SOUTH SUMMIT 38: Ben Lomond's Fernando Paredes drilled a free throw with 2.6 seconds remaining in regulation to clinch the narrow victory at the Pepsi Classic.
IGNACIO, COLO. 59, SAN JUAN 41: San Juan had no answer for Ignacio's Shane Richmond, who went 16 of 19 from the free throw line and finished with 36 points.
ALTAMONT 48, ST. JOSEPH 46: Jordan Benson scored a game high 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to help Altamont fend-off St. Joseph in a tightly contested game.
DELTA, COLO. 60, MONTICELLO 40: Jacon Ames scored 18 points, including four 3-pointers to lead Delta past Monticello. The Buckaroos were led by Austin Maloy with eight.
AMERICAN LEADERSHIP 74, ROCKWELL 46: Tanner Bowman registered a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds as American Leadership rolled past Rockwell.
MONTICELLO 74, SHIPROCK, N.M. 45: Monticello went out with a bang against Shiprock, with all players scoring at least one basket. Jake Duncan led the way though with 15 points, Gunnar Hollingsworth added 8 points.
