1A NORTH

RICH 26, ALTAMONT 12: The Rebels got off to a slow start, but eventually pulled away from Altamont to pick up a nice bounce-back victory after last week's loss to Monticello. Kaden Thomson and Austin Groll each finished the game with a pair of rushing touchdowns.

DUCHESNE 56, LAYTON CHRISTIAN 12: Macoy Young rushed for touchdowns of five, six and 60 yards while his teammate Braiden Despain added two more scores of his own as the Eagles rolled on the road. In fantastic stretch, Duchesne's McKade Nielsen picked off an errant pass and made a house call from 46 yards out, then scored on 31-yard TD reception on the offensive end. Despain finished with 188 yards rushing while Young had 118 yards.

MONTICELLO 73, WHITEHORSE 8: Monticello routed Whitehorse in the one-sided victory.

2A NORTH

AMERICAN LEADERSHIP 21, GUNNISON 14: Gunnison jumped out to an early 14-0 lead before American Leadership rallied in the second half. American Leadership's Briggs Fulton went 13-for-28 for 161 yards, connecting with Jordan Lamb and Adam Davis, who combined for 12 receptions for 98 yards.

MILLARD 36, EMERY 27: Millard had a slight advantage in total offense, tallying 340 yards to 218 for Emery. Jesse Winn rushed for 131 yards on the night, and finished the game with a pair of touchdowns to help the Eagles to another region win.

NORTH SUMMIT 35, NORTH SEVIER 6: North Summit literally ran over North Sevier for the road victory. The Braves tallied 276 total rushing yards as Nathan Rees, Jaxon Vernon, and Dixon Richins each took the ball to paydirt. Richins recored two touchdowns in the second half to put the game far out of reach.

MANTI 30, SOUTH SUMMIT 12: South Summit made a game of it with a 12-point second quarter, but it wasn't enough to derail Manti, which remained unbeaten in 2A North play.

2A SOUTH

SAN JUAN 27, ENTERPRISE 7: San Juan rolled for 20 unanswered points before Enterprise got on the board. The Broncos are now 4-0 in region play, and lead class 1A with a 6-0 overall record.

KANAB 26, SOUTH SEVIER 22: South Sevier pushed Kanab to the limit before the Cowboys pulled through in the end. Brandon Nielson had seven catches for 156 yards and two scores, and he also returned a kick-off 80 yards for another score. Brandon Jenson went 14-for-24 for 237 yards in the win.

BEAVER 28, GRAND 0: Kendall White helped break this game open for Beaver with his scoop-and-score 27-yard fumble recovery early in the second half. Tyler Roberts was a perfect on all four of his PATs.

RICHFIELD 20, PAROWAN 12: Richfield jumped out to a 20-6 lead before halftime and their defense held off Parowan to maintain their lead and the victory. Josh Henry rushed for two touchdowns in the win.

REGION 1

FREMONT 20, DAVIS 7: Fremont allowed one early touchdown and scored 20 unanswered points to get by Davis. Jordan Preator returned an interception 38 yards for a touchdown to help seal the win.

SYRACUSE 34, LAYTON 7: Syracuse pilled up 303 yards of total offense and held Layton to only 97 yards on the night. Austin Bolos carried the ball seven times for 93 yards, while Trevor Davis went 14-for-19 and finished with 144 yards and two touchdown passes.

NORTHRIDGE 56, WEBER 21: An outright dominating performance from Northridge on offensive crushed the Weber defense. Jason Mann went 15-for-20 for 234 yards and three touchdowns to lead Northridge. David Adams had 135 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns to add to Northridge's success.

VIEWMONT 28, GRANGER 7: Josh Staples accounted for three scores as the Vikings have now won three in a row.

WEST 20, HUNTER 13: West's Eric Takenaka made sure Hunter wouldn't rally for its first win of the season when he returned an interception 22 yards for the game-winning score. Alex Espinosa scored on the ground then threw an 82-yard TD pass to Taurus Dickerson. Jairo Tarver threw for two scores in the loss.

REGION 3

WEST JORDAN 49, COPPER HILLS 19: West Jordan's Cameron Peacock scampered for 186 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Jaguars to the huge victory over Copper Hills. At one point, Peacock scored three consecutive touchdowns to put the game well out of reach. Quarterback Michael Moorehead added 109 yards and one score, including one burst for 72 yards.

REGION 4

BINGHAM 45, RIVERTON 14: Riverton got on the board first after Bobby Vice took off for an 80-yard touchdown, but Bingham rallied for 37 unanswered points to pick up the region win over cross town rival Riverton. The win puts Bingham at 32 straight wins over in-state teams.

LONE PEAK 49, AMERICAN FORK 7: After two quarters, Lone Peak had done enough to send in their reserves and walk away with a dominating win. Chase Hansen went 8-for-16 for 193 yards and two touchdowns while Connor Humphries gained 92 yards on only four carries.

REGION 5

SKY VIEW 28, BOX ELDER 13: Nicholas Carver stole the show in Sky View's upset of Box Elder. Carver went 14-for-23 through the air for 252 yards and three TDs and also rushed 15 times for 55 yards and another TD. Britton Gunter did his best to keep the Bees alive with two rushing touchdowns.

LOGAN 49, ROY 7: DJ Nelson scored six touchdowns to lead Logan in a dominating win. Nelson was 11-for-15 for 157 yards and three TDs through the air. His favorite target was John Schmidt, who had six receptions for 134 yards and three touchdowns.

REGION 6

BOUNTIFUL 27, HIGHLAND 3: Jakob Hunt rushed for two touchdowns, his first being a 56 yard scamper, and Bountiful's defense only allowed a field goal as they raced past Highland.

EAST 55, CLEARFIELD 34: Despite East giving up 341 yards and turning the ball over five times, the Leopards were able to maintain their demanding lead and crush Clearfield 55-34.

WOODS CROSS 42, CYPRUS 20: Skyler Farnes went on an offensive attack against Cyprus finishing with 326 all-purpose yards. He threw for 222 and rushed for 104 yards on 13 attempts. Cyprus running back Sean Barton provided his team with an impressive performance with 175 all-purpose yards, but it wasn't enough to stop Woods Cross.

REGION 7

OLYMPUS 41, MURRAY 10: Scott Porter connected with Calvin Escobedo for four touchdowns. Porter ended with 231 yards passing and Escobedo had 108 yards receiving.

WESTLAKE 47, HILLCREST 27: Hillcrest drew first blood but Westlake responded with authority in what ended up being a lopsided win for the Thunder.

SKYLINE 27, HERRIMAN 26: Herriman pulled within a point with a last-minute safety then had a chance to win in the end, but Skyline's Patrick Nielson blocked the Mustangs' 36-yard field goal attempt to preserve the win. Dylan Daugherty scored on runs of 85 and 17 yards, while Maurice Mapps Jr. added a 41-yard TD scamper. Tueni Lupeamanu was 15-for-20 for 172 yards with a touchdown pass, and ran 51 yards for another. Herriman lost four fumbles on the night.

REGION 8

SALEM HILLS 30, PROVO 20: Salem Hills dominated the first and fourth quarters, outscoring Provo 28-0 to seal the victory. Kyle Larsen ran for two scores in the loss for the Bulldogs.

MAPLE MOUNTAIN 14, MOUNTAIN VIEW 10: Justin Slavens scored the go-ahead touchdown for Maple Mountain in the third quarter and the Golden Eagles held on to beat Mountain View.

TIMPVIEW 31, TIMPANOGOS 28: Timpview withstood a furious rally by Timpanogos, which scored 14 fourth-quarter points, to take the win over its Utah Valley neighbor.

OREM 29, SPRINGVILLE 28: Jacob Miller's interception with five seconds left squelched a last-ditch comeback attempt by Springville and gave Orem the narrow victory. Cole Payne caught three touchdown passes from Parker Overly, which provided most of the Tigers' offense.

REGION 9

CEDAR 35, PINE VIEW 28: Pine View scored three late touchdowns but it wasn't enough to overcome Cedar's early lead. The Redmen picked up their first win of the season.

HURRICANE 42, SNOW CANYON 7: Hurricane continued its strong season by blasting Snow Canyon to kick off a homecoming celebration. Brian Scott led the winning effort with seven carries for 124 yards and three touchdowns. Bryan Lee got it done for Hurricane on the defensive side of the ball with six tackles, one sack and one tackle for loss.

DESERT HILLS 41, DIXIE 38: Desert Hills overcame a slow start to score 27 straight points in the second half and down Dixie. Porter Harris rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns. He also passed for 216 yards and three touchdowns. Blake Barney passed for 209 yards and four TDs for Dixie in the loss.

REGION 10

PARK CITY 57, UNION 15: Heath Vincent led Park City to the lopsided win with five touchdowns; three through the air and two rushing. Chad Smith also had a solid game for the Miners with 98 yards rushing on only 16 carries.

JUAN DIEGO 61, UINTAH 14: A.J. Barbiero rushed for three touchdowns, and Nick Markosian connected with Dakota Cox for two receiving scores in a lopsided win over Uintah. The Soaring Eagle rallied for 48 first-half points, and Uintah had no answer for the high-caliber offense.

JUDGE MEMORIAL 49, WASATCH 14: Judge Memorial hammered Wasatch for four straight quarters. Miles Ellis ran for 157 yards on 21 carries, Jack Barnett had 73 yards on 9 carries, and Christian Weidle had 65 yards on 7 carries. Weidle also scored on a 90-yard punt return.

REGION 11

STANSBURY 27, MORGAN 14: Stansbury improved to 5-1 in impressive fashion in the Deseret News Game of the Week. Tyler Stevens and Dacota Case put the Stallions up 13-0 early with runs of 46 and 35 yards. Then, in the fourth quarter, Case put the game away with a 42-yard interception return TD. Jackson Clausing led the way on the ground for Stansbury with 141 yards off 17 carries. He also added 11 tackles and an interception on defense, whereas Colton May added 17 tackles of his own in the win.

BEAR RIVER 48, BEN LOMOND 19: Bear River lit the flame on offense quickly. After falling behind 13-0 the Bears scored 48 consecutive points before giving up a late touchdown in the fourth quarter. Bear River rushed for 386 yards as a team. Wes Fukui carried 14 times for 158 yards and Jeremie Selman and Kyle Zundel teamed up for 181 yards on 22 rush attempts. The three players found the end zone five times on the ground.

GRANTSVILLE 28, TOOELE 0: Four touchdowns by four different players (Ky Fisher, Dalen Erickson, Drew Sutton and Skyler Cloward) combined with a stellar defensive effort to push Grantsville past Tooele. Tooele gained a total of 319 yards for the night and held Grantsville to 47 yards.

REGION 12

DELTA 41, CARBON 7: Christian Hatch rushed for two touchdowns as Delta routed Carbon. Colin Christensen also rushed for a touchdown and passed for another one.

NORTH SANPETE 21, PAYSON 7: North Sanpete scored 14 points in the first quarter and never looked back, taking its first region win of the year.

SPANISH FORK 49, JUAB 18: Spanish Fork's Hayden Nielsen threw for 223 yards and three scores, and rushed for 86 yards and another score in the dominant win for the Dons. Spencer McPhearson connected with Curtis Orme on two TD passes in the loss for Juab. Christian Taele also found the end zone twice for Spanish Fork.

NONREGION

OGDEN 28, CANYON VIEW 24: A strong third quarter helped Ogden squeak by Canyon View. Anthony Sattiwhite threw for three touchdowns. Malik Doss caught two touchdowns for Ogden. Stetson Deardon rushed for two touchdowns for Canyon View.

DIAMOND RANCH 42, MILFORD 7: Diamond Ranch opened the game with 42 unanswered points before allowing a late touchdown to Milford.
