SALT LAKE CITY — Gov. Gary Herbert has named a replacement for Utah's liquor board after the woman appointed last week withdrew her name for family reasons.
Herbert says Constance White of Salt Lake City will fill the remaining open slot on the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control's board.
White is a lawyer who is currently the vice president of compliance for the Western Electricity Coordinating Council. She has previously served as the director of the Division of Public Utilities and has been the chairwoman for the Public Services Commission.
Herbert says Susan Devey, who he appointed last week, withdrew her name Friday because she will not be able to devote the time needed for a commissioner of the liquor agency.
