James Seymour Stapley, 44, died March 14, 1993 at a Provo hospital, after a long illness.
Born March 20, 1948 in Cedar City, Utah, to LaRoy and Geneva Prisbrey Stapley. Married Clare Marie Fjeldsted, of Centerfield, October 11, 1969; later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.He grew up in Toquerville, Utah, where he attended school. He graduated from Hurricane High School, served a mission for the LDS Church, in the Northern California Mission.
Jim loved his family and friends. He loved to go camping, hunting, fishing, and cooking dutch oven.
He is survived by his wife and four children, Garth, Clay and Gayle, of Ephraim; Mrs. Patrick (Richelle) Neeley, of Salt Lake City; mother and father; two brothers, Keith (Marcene), Helena, Montana; Alan (Sally), of Chester; four nieces and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn.
Services will be held Thursday at 12 noon in the Ephraim 5th Ward Chapel, where friends may call Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday morning, 10 a.m. prior to services. Funeral Director: Buchanan Mortuary.
